My iPhone and iPad aren't showing the same data

Scratch Map syncs through your private iCloud. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for the app (Settings → your name → iCloud → see that Scratch Map is enabled). Both devices also need a network connection. Sync usually catches up within a few moments of opening the app; you can check the current status any time on the app's About screen (tap the ⓘ button).

Is my data backed up?

Your data is stored in your own iCloud, so it's kept as part of your Apple Account and restored automatically when you set up a new device signed in to the same account. There is no separate export at this time.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no login. The app just uses your device and your iCloud. If you're not signed in to iCloud, your data simply stays on that device.

How do I mark a prefecture visited?

Tap any prefecture on the map, then choose Visited (or Planned). You can set the date you went, and add places worth remembering while you're there.

Which devices are supported?

Scratch Map is a universal app for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, and it follows your system's light or dark appearance.
